This is literally just hard boiled eggs removed from their shell, broken open with a spoon and fish sauce added in. The fish sauce alone has a strong and salty odor, but mix it in a bit with some of the yolk that's fallen in to create a nice paste that is simply delicious with a neutral tasting dish. This is a dish that I grew up with and is great as a side dish to eat with rice porridge (or congee).
