There are many different styles of cooking when it comes to Vietnamese cuisine that are loosely categorized by the region they originate from. Banh Beo, typically associated with Hue cuisine (found in Central Vietnam), is a steamed rice cake dish that is usually topped with chopped dried shrimp, green onion, and fish sauce.
Went to Genki Ramen in SF with a special friend for dinner. This Japanese dish that comes out on a hot sizzling plate is almost like a pancake, except it comes filled with squid and is topped with bonito flakes, scallions, kewpie mayo and okonomiyaki sauce. There was an option for adding crispy noodles to the bottom, but my friend and I had ordered so much food off the menu that we forgot about all about it!
Delicious, will always think of this dish when I'm close to here. |
Welcome!Hello! My name is Peter and welcome to my food (and sometimes travel) blog. I am guilty of taking pictures of my food before I start digging into it, and because of that I am able to present to you here the visual bounty of this otherwise aggravating habit. Archives
